Add On Tests
We are all knowingly or unknowingly, suffering the cumulative effects of environmental toxins from pollution, heavy metals, radiation, drugs, pesticides, and solvents, to the foods in our diet, preservatives and additives that all leave behind their toxic, free radical producing wastes. Toxic elements and incompatible foods can take the place of the essential nutrients and minerals causing interference of normal function.
For existing Homeopathy patients, additional testing is available that will screen for food allergy reactions, hormone levels, and environmental toxins to help you find the causative factors that may be impacting your health.
Hair Mineral Analysis
Hair samples are collected and screened to measure the levels of up to 60 essential minerals and toxic metals.

Testosterone Testing
Testosterone is a hormone that plays a key role in sexual and reproductive development, as well as other aspects of health such as muscle mass, bone density, hair growth, energy, and mood. It is produced primarily by the testicles in males and by the ovaries and adrenal glands in females. Testosterone levels vary depending on age, sex, genetics, and environmental factors.
Testing for testosterone levels can help diagnose certain medical conditions that affect both males and females. For example, low testosterone levels in males can cause symptoms such as erectile dysfunction, infertility, and low sex drive. High testosterone levels in females can cause symptoms such as acne, excess hair, and irregular periods. The results can help your healthcare provider determine the best treatment options for you.
Testosterone is often measured using saliva and blood samples. While these measurements reflect current levels in the body, one pressing limitation is that hormones can fluctuate throughout the day, or at different times of the menstrual cycle.
Hair analysis for testosterone is seen as a valuable tool for the determination of testosterone levels. Testosterone levels measured in hair provide a retrospective blended average of free testosterone available to the body over a period of up to 3 months. Rather than results from a single, random serum or saliva sample, the hair technique provides a longer-term perspective that can allow for a better assessment of chronic disease and insufficiency.
Omega 3 Blood Testing

Omega-3 Testing in Whole Blood
OmegaScore® personalized omega-3 testing using a dried blood spot was developed by Lipid Analytical Laboratories (LAL), a division of CanAlt Health Labs Inc. These tests can be ordered through CanAlt Health Laboratories.
The Importance of Testing
In adults, higher blood levels of EPA/DHA omega-3 have been associated with a significantly lower risk for psychological distress, depression, cognitive impairment, age-related dementia, certain cancers and various other disorders.
The OmegaScore® is a very strong indicator of the risk for sudden cardiac death based on published studies from the Harvard School of Public Health in the New England Journal of Medicine.1 Furthermore, a high OmegaScore® is related to a reduced risk for “all-cause mortality”2 and “cognitive deterioration with aging”3; all of which will be provided to you in an easy to interpret report.
If the lab results indicate a low OmegaScore®, individuals can initiate an increased intake of omega-3 fatty acids from food sources (e.g. fish/seafood) and/or supplements containing EPA/DHA. If the latter intake modifications are done on a regular basis, one can expect their OmegaScore® to be favourably altered to be in the low risk zone for the above health conditions. Re-testing can be done after 4-8 weeks to confirm entry into the “low risk” zones.

Screening
The whole blood OmegaScore® test measures the long chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), DPA (docosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) from the sample provided as a percentage of the total fatty acids measured in your blood sample.
