Potassium Sulfate, also known as sulphate of potash or Kali Sulph, is the maker and distributor of oil. When there is a deficiency of Kali Sulph, the oil in the human body becomes too thick and clogs the pores. Kali Sulph is found in our skin and in considerable quantities in scalp and hair.
WHAT IS KALI SULPH GOOD FOR?
Kali Sulph is helpful with:
- Eczema
- Athletes foot
- Estrogen balancer
- Psoriasis
- Scaling skin
- Yellow scaly dandruff
- Ear, eyes, or eruptions with a yellow, thin secretion
- Promotes perspiration.
- Assists in the formation of new skin
- Helpful with joints
Kali Sulph will help cold symptoms that have yellow, slimy discharges or watery greenish matter. Kali Sulph alongside Ferrum Phos is useful in the early stages of a cold.
WHAT ISSUES DOES A KALI SULPH DEFICIENCY CAUSE?
A lack of this salt in the body can cause rheumatic pains in the joints that shift and wander, sinusitis, psoriasis, asthma, inflammatory conditions of the respiratory tract like bronchitis or bronchial asthma (with yellow-greenish, slimy discharge), and cystitis with yellow discharge.
FACIAL SIGNS OF DEFICIENCY:
Some facial signs of deficiency are: (1)
- excess or lack of pigmentation
- freckles
- pregnancy mask (melasma)
- pigmentation spots such as vitiligo or liver spots
- A-form appearance on root of nose or chin
- yellow coating on tongue
PAY ATTENTION TO CHANGES IN SYMPTOMS
Things that make your symptoms feel better or worse are a good way to determine if this salt is the one for you. With a Kali Sulph deficiency, symptoms are generally worse in the evening, with consolation, after eating and with noise. Symptoms are better when walking, in cool, open air, and while fasting.
In an acute situation that is severe such as high fever or fevers when blood poisoning threatens, inflammations with a watery, yellow or greenish secretions, etc., as an adult you would want to take 2-3 tablets every 30-60 minutes until the pain or symptoms subside. You can give children 1-2 tablets and infants 1 tablet.
Repeat according to the severity of the symptoms. Stop on improvement. Repeat as needed.
You can also take tissue salts to treat chronic conditions. With a chronic condition, such as vitiligo, psoriasis, or asthma etc., you would take 2-3 tablets, 2-3x per day for 5 weeks, or you can even finish the full bottle. Taking little breaks is important so the body does not develop a tolerance. In this situation, you would take the tissue salt either for 5 days on with 2 days off, or for 3 weeks on with one week off over many months.
When taking tissue salts, tip the tablets into the lid and drop them into your mouth. Avoid touching the cap to your mouth. It is also important to try to avoid food for 10-20 mins before and after taking the salts and take away from coffee or mint products as it will not be properly absorbed.

Tissue Salts are a part of Homeopathic Medicine.
Homeopathy, the medicine of energy, is a medical system based on the belief that the body can cure itself by strengthening its own defense mechanisms by using substances selected for their energy-giving properties. Homeopaths use tiny amounts of natural substances, like plants, herbs, minerals, chemicals, disease products or allopathic drugs which are potentized.
